The Underglobe is one of the most unique spaces in central London. Located right underneath the Globe theatre’s stage, the space can host up to 450 people standing and 350 people seated and is not only impressive but versatile. This atmospheric space is the ultimate choice for networking, conferences, away days, large presentations, product launches and dining. The space also has its own private riverside entrance and step free access.
Named after American philanthropist and patron of the arts, Nancy W Knowles, this space can seat up to 120 people and is perfect for smaller presentations and lectures. The Bull Ring, situated just outside, is available to hire alongside for receptions, as a breakout space or for welcoming guests. Both rooms have step free access.
Add a bit of theatre to your event by hosting it in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse; one of the only candlelit theatres in Europe. The space can host 200 guests for lectures, presentations, and performances. We can also offer the theatre for exclusive use of one of our theatre productions. The seated section of the theatre is wheelchair accessible with step free access.
Throughout the summer season, the Globe is home to multiple productions and performances with audiences up to 1500. The most recognisable and largest of our spaces, the theatre may be hired for filming, photography as well as private events and celebrations. Please note that the theatre is completely open to the elements and is wheelchair accessible with step free access.
The Education Studios are located on 1-2 Bear Gardens, SE1 9ED, perfectly situated just around the corner from our theatres. The studios have a range of spaces suitable for smaller events of up to 35 people and can accommodate meetings, workshops and away days. The Perry Studios is the largest of the spaces and can hold 80 people. This blank space can be used for receptions, larger workshops and dining.
