Southwark Cathedral is London’s oldest Gothic church with many historic ties to Bankside. Located close to London Bridge Station, the cathedral is not only a place of worship, but also caters to a wide range of meetings and events.
With stunning views of Bankside’s riverfront, the venue’s Millennium Building hosts six conference and meeting rooms that can accommodate numbers up to 120 people. From the impressive Garry Weston Library, to smaller spaces such as the Desmond Tutu room, this modern conference centre is an ideal choice for intimate meetings to large training sessions.
Their meeting rooms are popular with local businesses and charities who love to bring their away days, training courses, board meeting or product launches to our multi functional rooms. The venue has flat screen TVs in their main rooms and AV and free Wi-Fi is available for all rooms. Video conferencing is available along with support throughout your day from their dedicated conference team.
All food and beverage is ordered through their on-site partner caterer Leafi.
The cathedral itself is also available for hire, with the Nave providing a dramatic backdrop for evening receptions for up to 800 people. The nave has also been the setting for a number of film locations. For those looking for outdoor event space for your summer drinks party the churchyard next to Borough Market offers a tranquil setting and the Millennium Courtyard right by the river is ideal for marquee hire, making it an all year option. Both areas can accommodate up to 500 people.
Everything worked perfectly for us. An excellent venue.
